Obituary for William A Pupecki

William A. Pupecki, Jr., 75, of Bourne passed away peacefully, on August 10, 2023 at Beth Israel Deaconess
Hospital-Plymouth.

He leaves his former wife and caregiver, Carol Garofoli, his nephew and niece, John and
Doreen Dorazio and close neighbors and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, and
two sisters, Rosalie Dorazio and Patricia Guenther.

Bill was born and raised in Clinton, MA, the son of Emma (Mollica) and William Pupecki
and lived in Clinton and Lancaster until 2001 when he relocated to the Cape.
Bill graduated from the former Worcester Boys’ Trade High School in 1966 and upon
graduation Bill worked as a union carpenter. He went on to open his own business,
Lancaster Woodworks, making customized mouldings and furniture. He retired in 2003
and pursued his favorite pastimes fishing and scalloping. Bill was the ultimate
“outdoorsman” from master fisherman to hunter. He was a member of the Canal
Sportsmans’ Club for many years and owned several boats, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and
snowmobiles. Recently, Bill spent time on “Bell Road” on the canal fishing and selling his
one-of-a kind lures. His love of the outdoors continued over the years culminating with
his infatuation with hummingbirds. You would always see Bill sitting on his porch with a
cigar in hand bird watching. He will be remembered for his jokes and pranks. His love
of nature and wildlife culminated in a solo road trip to Alaska. His love of the outdoors
remained with him throughout his life.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Meredith Gilson, Julie Towns,
Bill’s close friends and neighbors for their support and the staff at Beth Israel Senior
Behavioral Center for their outstanding care.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made
in memory of William Pupecki to the Alzheimer’s Association of Cape Cod
