Obituary for William Woodbury Gray "Woody" Robinson

William Woodbury Gray Robinson, "Woody"
Woody departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2021.
William Woodbury Gray Robinson was born July 18, 2021 in Greenwich, CT, the son of the late James Wesley Robinson, Sr. and Beatrice Parker Gray Robinson. Woody attended Greenwich public schools. At this time, he did not go on to high school.
The Robinson family moved back to Plymouth, MA. However, Woody loved school. He began to work full time. But always in the back of his mind, he decided he wanted his GED. Work and school began his main focus. In the evening, he would attend class which he received his GED. How proud of himself to have his sister, June and his brother-in-law Niecy at the graduation.
In studying, he loved History, as well as issues on human rights.
Woody was active in the Plymouth Democratic Town Committee and a lifetime member of the NAACP since 1978. He retired from the town of Plymouth Public Schools maintenance department.
Woody is survived by his sister, June Finley of Dryden, NY. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins from Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida and California. A very special thank you to his cousin, Brandi Ward who spent the last year helping him as his caretaker. From the bottom of our hearts, we will miss him.
William Woodbury was better known to family members as Wood or Woody, later, or friends say Bill.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 24th from 10 am - 12 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Vine Hills Cemetery.
