Anthony Rizzitano died at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital on March 16, 2017 in Plymouth, MA. He was 63 years old. Anthony is survived by his daughter, Ariana Rizzitano and her husband Thomas Petr; his son, Tomas Rizzitano; sisters, Suzanne Gibson and Margaret Rizzitano; brothers, Nicholas and John Rizzitano; and nieces and nephews. Anthony was born on October 21, 1953 in Concord, MA to Nicholas and Norma Rizzitano. He graduated Concord-Carlisle High School in 1971 and went on to earn degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Harvard University. For 33 years, he taught English at Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston, MA, in a career that spanned generations and touched thousands of lives until his retirement in 2013. In his spare time, Anthony enjoyed hiking the Appalachian trail, raising vegetables in his garden, and spending time in the kitchen with his family. Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home; all are welcome to attend.
