Barbara M. McGill

July 3, 1938 – October 21, 2026

Barbara McGill (Hagan) of Plymouth, MA passed away October 21, 2026 at home in the arms of her family. Born in Lynn, MA and raised in Saugus, MA, Barbara later moved to the south shore to raise her family.

Beloved wife of James A. McGill Jr. for 67 wonderful years. Much loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Barbara leaves behind her husband James, and three children. Laura Thompson, and her husband Gary, James S. McGill, and his wife Karen, and Maureen Pavilonis, and her husband Daniel. Her adored grandchildren, Courtney Axon, and her husband Dane. Cody McGill, Kyle McGill, and his wife Anam, Allison Pavilonis, Nicholas Pavilonis, and Michael Pavilonis. Also, her great grandchildren Grace Ivanoff, Ava Axon, Dane Axon, Lucas Axon and Theodore Soule. Barbara also leaves her brother Tom Hagan and his wife Ginny, her much loved nieces and nephews and their children and some wonderful friends.

Barbara (aka Lulu) was a special person who brought so much love to her family and friends. She thought of everyone before herself and taught us all the power and peace of love. We will miss her very much.

The beach and the waves of the ocean were her special place, and she was able to spend many years by the sea living in “the cottage” in Manomet. So many wonderful years of laughter, love and fun shared by all her family and friends. We will think of her daily as we carry on her legacy.
