Beryl P. (Jellison) Prouty passed away peacefully Sunday, June 29, surrounded by her loving family. A longtime Plymouth resident, she was born June 28, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late William and Audrey Jellison. After spending her teens and early twenties in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Beryl settled in Plymouth, where she raised her children and was a longtime employee of both the Trolly Stop and the Colonial Restaurants where she brought smiles to the faces of every one she came across. After retiring, she continued to focus on her beloved family that where truly her whole world. She is survived by her husband, James E. Prouty of Plymouth; her children, Kimberly Prouty of Scituate, Brian Prouty of Wareham, James R. Prouty of Duxbury and Christopher Prouty of Washingston, D.C.; as well as her brothers, William Jellison Jr. of Florida, Charles Jellison of Florida, and Ralph Jellison of Carver; and her cherished grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
