Betty M. Fontes of Plymouth, passed away June 25, 2022, under the loving care of the South Coast Tobey Hospital, Wareham, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty M. (Pierce) Fontes, born in Plymouth, MA on December 28, 1955 to the late Herbert F and Lois M. (Mayers) Pierce. She was the loving mother of Jonathan M. Fontes, Jr and his fiancee Lisa Daley, Alissa C. (Fontes) King and her husband Robert King.

She was the sister of the late William F Pierce, and sister of Ruth A (Pierce) Caldera and her husband Gareth F. Caldera. She was the proud grandmother of four, Gabrielle, Keenan, Mallory and Ashlyn, and Aunt to Chad, Christian, William, Dawn, Justin, Ryan and Joey.

Betty drove school buses for 34 years for First Student of Plymouth. She enjoyed after school field trips, such as weddings etc.

Betty fought a long courageous battle with cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

Betty graduated from Plymouth Carver High School in 1973 and went on to Bridgewater State University to become a paralegal.

She enjoyed sewing, trying new recipes, and caring for her beloved Dogs, Maezy & Miles.

She leaves behind a dear friend and companion, Kevin Loring of Carver

Services are under the care of Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court St., Plymouth MA. Visitation will take place, Wednesday July 6, 2022 from 10-11am at the Funeral Home with a service at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Vine Hills Cemetery, Samoset St, Plymouth, MA .
