Brenda Butterworth (October 24, 1943 - October 5, 2009) Brenda J. Butterworth, 65 Loved music, enjoyed singing BONITA SPRINGS, FL – Brenda J. Butterworth passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 5, 2009. She was 65. She was the beloved wife of Shawn Michaud formerly of Salem. She was born in Lynn on October 24, 1943, the daughter of Edward R. and Elizabeth (Learned) Butterworth of Lynn. She was raised in Nahant and Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School, the Chandler School in Boston, and Lynn Hospital Radiology School. She lived in Swampscott for most of her life and has lived in Bonita Springs, Florida since 1999. Brenda was a real estate professional for nearly thirty years. She was an avid golfer and former nine-hole club champion at the Beverly Golf and Tennis Club in Beverly. She loved boating and the ocean and was a member of the Swampscott Yacht Club. She was also an accomplished artist. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining and just spending time with her nine grandchildren and family and friends. In addition to Shawn with whom she shared twenty years, she leaves a son Edward A. Palleschi and his wife Sheila of Swampscott, a daughter Lauren M. Sampson of Swampscott, a son Jeffrey J. Palleschi of Tampa, FL , and a daughter Amy E. Cullen and her husband, Christopher of North Reading. Brenda also leaves her beloved sisters Beverly McEntee of Naples, FL, Barbara Cleary Bostley of Marblehead, Betty Fitzgerald of Marblehead, and Martha Bartlett of Plymouth. She also leaves nine grandchildren – Shane Corcoran, Kerry Corcoran, EJ Palleschi, Cameron Mizioch, Haley Sampson, Tyler Cullen, Madison Cullen, Riley Cullen, Brady Cullen, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be by the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 67 Ocean Street (Rte. 1A), Lynn. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial mass will be at St. John the Evangelist Church, Humphrey Street, Swampscott at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, followed by burial in the Swampscott Cemetery, Swampscott.
