IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian
Moore
March 7, 1946 – December 25, 2024
On Christmas morning, we said goodbye to Brian J. Moore, 78 – a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and truly remarkable man – after his brave and relentlessly optimistic fight against Parkinson's disease. Brian faced his illness the way he faced every obstacle in life – with humor and an overriding concern for the people he loved. He always, without fail, put others ahead of himself.
Brian is survived by his wife Laura Moore, his daughters Kimberly Fisher and Dawn Caldwell and their husbands Rob and Josh, his son Dan Moore, his nephew Jim Conlon and his wife Janice, his 10 grandchildren, his brother in-law Andrew Schain and his brother-from-another- mother, Chris Wideman. He survived his sister Sharon Conlon, his brother John Moore, and his son Sean Moore and he grieved for each of them every day.
Brian and Laura connected on Delray Beach in 1983 and were inseparable from that moment and for the 41 years that followed. They traveled together with friends and family, throughout Italy, France and England and as many Caribbean islands as they could reach by sailboat guided by Captain Carl. Brian loved his role as "anchorman" and kept the sailboat in place every gorgeous night.
Brian was a gifted plumber, with a talent for solving tricky, difficult challenges. He owned Old Colony Trade & Technical School in Brockton for over a decade and took enormous satisfaction from helping his students get their licenses and start productive careers. He taught by example, and with a story for every situation drawn
rom a lifetime of hands-on work.
Brian had the ability to meet every person where they lived and form instant connections. Everyone he met was a friend in minutes. He had impeccable comic timing and was the master of the "dad jokes" he shared with his brother-in-law Andy. The many people he touched in a life well-lived will miss his ready smile, his kindness and his joyful love of life.
A celebration of Brian's life will begin at Bartlett Funeral Home in Plymouth, MA on January 18, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation will be gratefully accepted.
