IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol A
Kujawski
May 15, 1947 – January 28, 2025
Carol Anne Foerster Kujawski, 77, died on January 28th in Boston, Massachusetts after a brief illness.
Carol was born in the Bronx, NY, graduated from Mount Saint Ursula High School in 1965, and St. John's Hospital Nursing School in 1968. She took pride in her nursing work for more than 40 years, from the operating room at New England Deaconess to Huntington Hospital on Long Island. She left the operating room for a brief period to care for her beloved grandfather when he was moved to nursing home. Her work as nurse captured her intellectual and analytical gifts, as well as her tenderness and compassion. Her parents, three sisters, four children and ten grandchildren were the most fortunate beneficiaries of her fiercely loving care.
Carol was an avid reader, particularly fond of murder mysteries. With a mind for puzzles, she kept a stack of Sunday New York Times crosswords, stubbornly continuing to work on them until they were solved. Carol loved travelling with her husband and family, especially to Kauai, but she also relished the comforts of home. She had a sharp wit, and her sense of humor was shared by her sisters, dear friends, and family. She had a great sense of style, and demonstrated her creativity in many ways, but especially in the kitchen, whether cooking for a crowded house full of people or sharing an evening meal on the back porch with her husband.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, George and Theresa ("Lovey"), as well as her older sister, Lynn (Richard Reynolds, Melbourne, FL). She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Bryan; her sisters Lauren (Peter Crafts, Henderson, NC) and Patricia (Joseph Trupia, Lexington, KY); her children Treseanne (Peter Ainsworth, Natick, MA), Bryan (Amy Stenson, New Brighton, MN), Mark (Jennifer Dytko, Washington DC), and Kate (Regi Jacob, Sherborn, MA); grandchildren Lauren (33), Julia (29), Sophia (24), Quinn (22), Murphy (19), Mathai (16), Sebastien (14), Hal (13), Reese (12) and Carol (9); as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews and their children.
