Charles N. Bacci, of Braintree, born November 29, 1921, age 99 passed peacefully on September 22, 2021.
Charles was the oldest son of Alexander and Amelia [Sufferdini] Bacci. He was the brother of the late Robert Bacci and his wife Barbara Bacci. He is predeceased by his late sister Olga [Bacci] Polli and her husband Ettore Polli. Born in Seneca Falls N.Y. he moved to Somerville, Mass. and spent his youth growing up in Boston.
Charles served in WWII in the Pacific. He served in the campaign of Anwkta and Guam and was a loyal member of the VFW, American Legion Braintree Post as well as the Elks.
Mr. Bacci also enjoyed playing the piano and has his own band in Somerville, Mass. Playing golf and travelling with his family was his joy in retirement. A life long bartender Charlie worked at the Hotel Lennox & Ritz Carlton in Boston, Mass as well as the Hollywood Beach Hotel in Florida and the Poland Springs Hotel in Maine. A devoted Yankees fan was fortunate to see babe Ruth play in N.Y.
He is survived by his son Charles S. Bacci of Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida and his late wife Janice [Pike] Bacci, a daughter Jill [Bacci] Burkhead and her husband Joseph of Plymouth, his daughter Barbara [Bacci] Mayne and her husband Michael of Marstons Mills as well as his late daughter Patricia [Bacci] Doyle and her husband Edward. Dearly loved by his grandchildren Edward Doyle and the late Justin Doyle, as well as David Burkhead and Matthew Burkhead and four great grandchildren Catherine, Edward III, Charles and Daniel Doyle.
Funeral Services by Bartlett Funeral Home, Plymouth, Mass. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
