Allan, Cheryl Anne (McHale), 57, of Plymouth, formerly of Weymouth, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at Boston Medical Center after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late John and Anne (MacEachern) McHale. She grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High, class of 1970 before moving to Plymouth.
Cheri spent her life being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; always making sure family came first. Cheri enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She also loved golfing and ran the women's golf league at Southers Marsh Golf Course in Plymouth. She will be sadly missed by many of her golf friends.
Lovingly remembered as "Mimi," she leaves behind her best friend of 38 years, her husband, Fred, of Plymouth; her children, Jennifer Kelley and her husband Brian of South Boston and Kristin Millette and her husband Kevin of Brockton. She also leaves behind four loving grandchildren, Jillian and Brendan of South Boston and Kevin and Jenna Rose of Brockton; her brother Robert McHale and wife Janice of Quincy, her sister Helen and her husband Mark Craven of North Weymouth; mother in law, Irene Allan of North Weymouth, sister in law, Judy Campbell of Hull, 3 nieces, Tracey Busony, Lauren Vasiliadis and Heather McHale, 3 nephews Chuck Campbell, Nate Craven and Trevor Craven and her dog, friend and companion, Coco. She also leaves behind several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral arrangements will be by the Bartlett Garrity Funeral Home, 338 Court Street Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Friday, April 16 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home, followed by a celebration of her life at Plymouth Country Club, 221 Warren Ave, Plymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
