Cheryl Ann (Kennedy) Batz, Retired, 66, of Kingston passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 21, 2025 after a long battle with various types of cancer. Cheryl was the loving wife of David P. Batz to whom she was married 33 years. Born June 12, 1959 in Boston, MA, she was the adoptive daughter of the late Gerald J. Kennedy and Sarah M. (Thomas) Kennedy.
Cheryl graduated from Plymouth North High School in 1977 and studied Criminal Justice for 2 years at Northeastern University. She was known her outgoing personality and warm heart as she had an uncanny ability to easily make friends anywhere at any time.
Cheryl worked in the hospitality industry for over 40 years as a bartender and waitress. She loved English History and a wide range of music, enjoyed the beach and skiing, and was an ardent fan of her hometown Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Cheryl also had an affinity for orange cats, as her and David shared raising 5 of them throughout their long term relationship.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her estranged sister, Sandra (Kennedy/Fitzpatrick) Gedutis and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
