Coletta George Candini, age 69, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and several close friends.
Born on January 19, 1956, Coletta was a proud graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School, Class of 1974. She went on to earn her RN from LaSalle Junior College and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Curry College.
Coletta devoted over three decades of her life to emergency nursing at Jordan Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, where she was respected for her clinical skill, compassion, and dedication. Later, she served as a hospice nurse, bringing comfort, dignity, and peace to patients and families during their most vulnerable moments.
Beyond her nursing career, Coletta was an active and passionate member of the community. A Master Gardener and Past President of the Daytime Plymouth Garden Club, she led numerous town beautification projects and lovingly tended to her own vegetable and flower gardens. Her hands brought beauty to every space she touched.
Coletta was a proud direct descendant of Pilgrims George Soule and Richard Warren, who journeyed to the New World aboard the Mayflower in 1620. She embraced her heritage with quiet pride and felt a deep connection to the history and land of Plymouth.
She is survived by her loving sisters: Susan Socci, Brenda Carreiro, and Michele (Paul) Kyle. She was a devoted aunt to eight nieces and nephews, and a cherished great-aunt to many more. Affectionately known as "Auntie" to countless children beyond her immediate family, Coletta nurtured every relationship with love and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. Candini Jr. and Gertrude Putnam Candini, as well as her sister, Darlene Candini.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Bartlett Funeral Home in Plymouth, Massachusetts. A memorial service at the funeral home will begin at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Plymouth.
In honor of her life of service and care, donations may be made in Coletta's memory to Plymouth EMT Services.
