Daniel Aguiar, 72, of Plymouth, passed away of cancer, on September 28, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved son of the late Manuel and Maria Rosa. Daniel was born in Vila Franca do Campo, Sao Miguel, Azores. He moved to Massachusetts at the age of 26. He worked at Mija Industries for 15 years. Daniel's passions, besides his family, were playing the accordion, guitar, woodworking and fishing. He was loving, kind and extremely funny. He lit up any room he was in with his smile and jokes. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ana (Ponte) Aguiar. He leaves behind his loving children; Michael Aguiar, Kimberly Aguiar, Elizabeth Aguiar and Victoria Aguiar; as well as his grandchildren Logan Aguiar, Tessa Aguiar and Jaxson Burchfield. Not only was he a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was an amazing uncle and cousin. Everyone that knew him loved him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Urbano Aguiar. Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Monday, October 4th from 5-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 313 Court Street, Plymouth on Tuesday, October 5th at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery.
