IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David T
Adams
May 22, 1966 – December 12, 2024
David Adams, 58 passed away comfortably on December 12 at his home in Plymouth, MA after a long, hard fought battle with colon cancer.
Dave was born in Ithica, NY and was raised in Marshfield, MA before moving to Duxbury, MA where he graduated high school and met the love of his life, Grace Adams. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He had a successful career as part-owner and operator of a steel foundry, Wollaston Alloys, in Braintree, MA. He was very happy to retire in 2012 to spend more time doing the things he loved with his wife, Grace and children Nicole and Drew.
Dave loved to spend his time in the outdoors hunting, snowmobiling, around campfires, and preserving the land at his legacy Camp David in Burnham, ME. Dave spent as much time as he could on the water fishing Duxbury Bay and in his later years Buzzards Bay, driving the kids around on the tube, water skiing, or just cruising. His greatest boat trip was the journey with Grace from Onset, MA down the intracoastal waterway to Vero Beach, FL on his beloved boat, "STEEL'N TIME". What Dave enjoyed more than his time in nature or the water, was spending time with family and friends laughing, teaching, and passing down knowledge to future generations.
David is survived by his loving wife Grace, daughter Nicole and her husband Steven, son Drew, Father Randolph Adams, Mother Linda Duffy, brother Jeff Adams, sister Leslie Greeley and her fiancé Jay Levesque, sister Wendy Coleman and her husband Chris Coleman, his sister-in-law Diane Campos and brother-in-law Roy Campos. He also leaves his nieces and nephews Allie, Joe, Amanda, Jeffrey, Emily, Grace, Peter, Emerson, Matthew and Emma, as well as many close friends.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. A wake will be held Tuesday, December 17 from 5-7pm at Bartlett Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held the following day, Wednesday, December 18 from 11:30 am-2:30 pm at Duxbury Bay Maritime School.
