IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David J
Nunziato
December 1, 1950 – March 10, 2025
David Nunziato, 74, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA, supported by those who loved him.
Born on December 1, 1950, in Cambridge, MA, Dave grew up in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1968 before briefly attending Boston University. He built a successful career through his deep knowledge of Tiffany lamps and Native American art, finding beauty and meaning where others often didn't.
Dave had a rare reverence for life—past, present, and future. He saw wonder in the night sky, the way light filtered through trees, and the stories objects carried. A true renaissance man, he explored astronomy, art, fishing, and biking, often hiking the mountains with his beloved dog, Sundance. He was also a self-proclaimed wine snob—only the best would do.
He made his home in Western Massachusetts, where he married Tracy Penfield, sharing a bond filled with adventure, laughter, and an appreciation for life's simple joys.
His deep, rich laugh let you know he was truly listening. He loved helping others in ways that made a lasting impact, and his kindness was genuine and deeply felt.
Dave is survived by his former wife, Tracey Jensen of San Diego, CA, and his devoted partner, Lucia Vriga of Sandwich, MA. His loving sisters, Jean Thompson of Centerville, MA; Karen Fenner of Arlington, MA; and Christine Bonenfant of Newton, MA, will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He was also loved by his late brother, Ronald Nunziato.
His legacy lives on in his nieces, Wendy, Adele, and Carolyn; nephews, Erik, Benjamin, Daniel, Christopher, and Henry; many beloved cousins; and dear friends Tammy Paluca and Maureen Staiano.
A celebration of Dave's remarkable life will be held this summer. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
