David Brandon Thor Short, passed away September 3rd, 2026. Raised in Plymouth, Ma, Dave was a graduate of Plymouth South High School. Later residing in Sandwich Ma. He will be remembered for his tremendous strength, creativity, intelligence, and compassion for others. He was fiercely protective and loyal. He loved fishing, playing cards, drawing, reading anything about history and he loved being a stone mason. He added his humor and personality into his stonework; stonewalls, fireplace's, chimney's, by adding secret mushroom shapes into most of his projects.

David is survived by his mother Joanne Guilfoyle, Stepfather Robert Guilfoyle of Rehoboth Ma, his sister Corinne Short of East Providence Ri, his brother, Soule "Bowman" Short and his wife Haley Short (Litchfield) of Carver Ma., stepsiblings Bo and Róin Guilfoyle of Barrington RI, his Grandmother Arleen Shawles of Cape Coral Fl. He was adored by his nieces and nephews; Eliana, Aurora, Charlie, Archer & Finnley and will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, many cousins, coworkers and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at Fireside Grille, 30 Bedford St., Middleborough, MA from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
