Obituary

BEDFORD — Mr. Sullivan passed away after a long struggle with illness. He leaves a devoted wife, Gabriele (Nanon) Sullivan and two sons, David D Sullivan IV of Sandwich and Derek D Sullivan of E. Sandwich, and two sisters; Sirley Riberio of Feeding Hills and Rita Bezner of Somerset. Mr. Sullivan was born in Fall River. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and fought in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Guam. Upon his return, Mr. Sullivan started out in sales. Through his hard work and determination he was able to purchase what eventually came to be known as the North American Rubber Thread Co. As the President, Mr. Sullivan successfully brought anti-dumping charges against the governments of Malaysia and Indonesia. He saw his company become the last remaining Rubber Thread manufacturer in the U.S. Mr. Sullivan was well known as an animal lover and made sure there were always dogs in his house. He was a dedicated father and husband. He will be missed.
