Diane L. Murphy, 59, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026.

Diane was born on November 4, 1966, in Providence, Rhode Island, the second child of Fred and Margaret Ward. She grew up in East Providence alongside her sister, Donna, and brother, David.

Diane spent her adult life making people feel happy and special. She had a gift for caring deeply for everyone who walked into her life, especially those who had the opportunity to sit at her bar. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Chris; her four children, Christopher, Josh, Emma, and Sean; her brother, David; her sister, Donna; and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She will be remembered for her kindness, attention to detail, selflessness, creativity, wit, commitment, optimism, and her never-ending laughter.

A gathering of friends, family, and all those who knew and loved Diane will be held on February 13th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Carmela’s in Kingston, Massachusetts. A second celebration of life is being planned for the spring, when everyone can come together outdoors to enjoy the sunshine—just as Diane would have loved.

Diane will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
