Donald Paul Lamoureux, age 84. from Dennis, MA died peacefully on 09/29/2020 surrounded by his family. Born in Germantown, PA on 3/09/1936 to parents George Lamoureux and Lillian Early Lamoureux. He graduated from North High School in Worcester, MA in 1954. He received a BA at St. Michaels College and Masters at University of Massachusetts Amherst.. He served in the US Air Force as a Captain. He shared a wonderful life with his bride of 61 years, Nancy Waldron Lamoureux. Don was a lifelong educator and coach and mentor to many of the young people of Amherst MA where they lived for many years. Don was active in his local community Church of St. Brigids in Amherst, MA. His biggest joy was the times he spent with his loving wife, children and grandchildren. He was a good friend with a big, kind heart and always found time for everyone. In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Donna Papadinoff and her husband John from Medfield, MA and their children Jack, Alex and Theo; James Lamoureux and his wife Deborah from San Diego, CA and their children, Jacob and Garrett; Patricia Lamoureux from Quincy, MA; John Lamoureux from Quincy, MA; Kathleen Craig and her husband Kevin from Hyannis, MA and their children Sarah and Kevin. Don will be laid to rest at The National Cemetery in Bourne with a burial service on Monday October 5 at 2:30pm A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
