Edmund Malcolm MacQuarrie of Sagamore Beach, MA and Naples, FL passed away December 28, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Ed was born in Cambridge and raised in South Boston and Quincy. He served with the United States Navy on the USS Intrepid from 1956 to 1958. He worked as a field engineer for NCR Corp. for 35 years in NSW Australia, and Boston. After retirement, he enjoyed part-time work for First Student transporting high school students for sports activities.

Predeceased by his first wife Susan (Pike) MacQuarrie in 1969. Ed is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Jeske) Ward MacQuarrie of 36 years. He was a devoted, father to Karyn J. O'Donnell, her husband Jack of Millis, MA, Stepfather to Kesley Ward of Scituate, MA and grandchildren, Rebecca O'Donnell-Blake, her husband Matthew and expected first great grandchild, of Billerica, MA, John O'Donnell, and his partner Shayna of Millis, MA, Zachary O'Donnell and his fiancé Kimberly of Albany, ME, Jacob Edmund O'Donnell, of Millis, MA, and Cosette Gardinier of Scituate, MA.

Ed enjoyed biking, skiing, kayaking, and traveling, which included many places in the continents of Asia, Africa, South America, North America, Europe, and Australia. At the request of family, services will be private.
