It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother, Elizabeth A Whiting 91 on December 16, 2021 Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Catherine Mahoney of Rockland and our Father C. Edward Whiting of Rockland. "Betty" had nine children, seven sons and two daughters. Lee Whiting (Sheryl) of Hyannis Stephen Whiting (JoAnn) of Plymouth Robert Whiting of Venice Fl Paul Whiting (Linda) of Rockland The late Edward Whiting (Sharon) of Sacramento California The late David Whiting (Mary Jane) of Rockland The late Christopher Whiting of Harwich Mary Grace Shanahan of Yarmouth Catherine Whiting of Chatham Paul Shanahan (son in law) She also leaves behind: 16 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grand children, 1 Great Great Grandchild. Betty was well read and loved her field of Psychology. Those who knew her will remember how strong minded and quick witted she was. She had quite a flair for words. She was a strong loving Mother who taught us to pray, love and care one another. She lived a good, long life and will be greatly missed. There will be a Mass at a later date.
