Moody, Evelyn G. (Gear), 93, passed away February 21, 2014 after a very short illness. She attended and graduated from Boston schools. She was fortunate enough to still live on her own, taking care of and cooking for herself. In her early years, Evelyn upholstered furniture and made curtains and draperies to enhance each room of her home. She strived for independence. She felt she was a master of home improvements after tiling her kitchen walls in her 80's. Evelyn was the devoted wife of the late George Moody. She was the loving mother of George Moody, Jr. and wife Susan, of Plymouth, and Richard Moody and wife Linda of Weymouth. Evelyn was the proud grandmother of Kristen Fonseca and husband Arnold of Plymouth, Kurt Moody and wife Rachael of Plymouth and David Moody of Berkley, CA. "Nanny" will be sadly missed by her five great-grandsons, Jake, Zach, Shane, Alex and Will. Funeral arrangements will be made by the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 24th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 25th, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend.
