Burt, Florence A., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 04, 2016 surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Wayne E. Burt; loving mother to Linda J. Coville and her husband, Steven, of Plymouth; Arthur D. Stetson of Hanson; Kim M. Salvatori and her husband, Ronald, of Plymouth, Mark L. Stetson and his wife, Karen, of Carver; Daniel D. Stetson of Hanson; Clint E. Stetson and his wife, Stacey, of Plympton. She was the devoted grandmother of Derek Harmon, Nicole Stetson, Michael and Christopher Coville, Amanda, Joshua and Jacob Stetson, and great grandmother to Xavier Febus, Kiana Silva and Makenzie Coville. She was also mother to the late Joyce Miller, grandmother to the late Chad Harmon and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Florence was born in Plymouth on July 2, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Arcenio and Mary (Furtado) Costa. She was preceded in death by her six brothers (Manuel, Samuel, Edward, Joseph, Edwin and John Costa) and her three sisters (Mary Santos, Irene Venturi and Alice Harding). As a child, she attended Plymouth schools and as a young woman was employed by the Plymouth Cordage Company. In later years, she worked as a housekeeper at the Jordan Hospital. Florence was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Plymouth. Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 6th from 4-7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter's Church, 86 Court Street, Plymouth, on Friday morning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's cemetery in Plymouth.
