Francis D. Mercurio, age 53, of Hull, passed away Dec. 25, 2012, after a battle with cancer. Frank was a Hull native and grew up in the Village. He worked at Paragon Park as a youth, and graduated from Hull High School in 1978. Frank was the captain of the Hull Pirates Football Team in 1978 and led his team to the Superbowl Championship. He had a successful contracting business in Hull for over 20 years. Frank enjoyed winters in Florida as well as summers in New Hampshire. He enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and was a Civil War buff. Frank was also an avid Patriot's fan. He is survived by his former wife, Elaine Mercurio of Hull; a beloved daughter, Stephanie Mercurio of Hull; a brother, Ted Mercurio Jr. of Hull; a sister, Gail Duarte and her husband Frank Duarte. He was the son of the late Theodore Mercurio and Marilyn (Thibideau) Mercurio, both of Hull. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many friends. A Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church in Hull, with a buffet style lunch immediately following at the Red Parrot Restaurant in Hull at 12:30
