Obituary

Fred Taylor Jr. 89, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He succumbed due to complications resulting from cancer.

Fred enlisted in the Air Force serving in communications and was honorably discharged as Airmen First Class in 1959. After military service, he became an advanced machinist who notably worked on the valve components for the Jarvik-7, the first artificial heart machines use as a bridge process to a full heart transplant. He retired as an operations manager guiding other companies in the expansion of their manufacturing operations. Fred was an amateur radio enthusiast who shared this interest with his youngest son Peter.

Fred is survived by his adoring wife Jan, with whom he recently celebrated 68 years of marriage. He leaves four children Michael, Diane, Timothy, and Peter, seven grandchildren, and ten great grand children.

Services are under the care of Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 5th from 9:00-10:30 am. A funeral will be held at the Church of the Pilgrimage, 8 Town Square, Plymouth at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 5th. All are invited to attend. A burial will immediately follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
