Obituary

George T. Casey of the South End of Boston and Kingston, MA, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025. He was 74 years old.

Born on December 13, 1950 in Boston, George was the son of Thomas and Mary Casey. He was the brother of the late Ginny Casey and uncle to Danielle Pesa. He was also the cousin of Deborah Cataldo. George's legacy will live on through his family and many friends and acquaintances.

A proud South Ender, George attended Cathedral Grammar School and High School. He was a graduate of Boston College with a degree in business.

After graduation George worked for the railroad and Amtrak for the next 50 years. He was a union official a General Chairman for the United Transportation Union (UTU) and the Massachusetts State Legislative Director for the UTU in his capacity met presidents, congressmen and many politicians.

George loved all the Boston sports teams. He especially enjoyed Boston College Football ,being a season ticket holder for many years.

George travelled extensively. He enjoyed playing golf on many local courses and in particular on Martha's Vineyard.

A service in his memory will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Bartlett Funeral Home in Plymouth, 338 Court Street. from 1pm - 3pm.
