Geraldine L DeCosta

9/26/28 - 10/29/21

Geraldine "Geri" passed away peacefully at home. She was born in Brockton,

Massachusetts to the late Francis and Edna Shaw. Geri graduated from Brockton

high school in 1946 and furthered her education at nurses training school to become

a registered nurse. She worked as an RN for years and took pride in the work she

did. She married William J DeCosta Jr. and started a family together in Brockton

where they built their first home. They both loved the Cape and began coming yearly

to camp and visit. Eventually, they bought a home in Bourne and started a new life

with their children there in 1973. She loved Cape Cod and enjoyed bike rides on the

canal and swimming at Old Silver Beach. She had an interest in everything; painting,

gardening, photography, flower arranging, the Red Sox, baseball hats, decorating

for holidays, tea, baking and driving around everywhere. She absolutely loved her

family. She had a very full life; she was never idle. She graciously leaves behind her

sons William J DeCosta III, James F DeCosta and wife Debra. Daughter Janine L

Reagan and David W Reynolds as well as granddaughters Kelly M Reagan, Kaitlyn

L (DeCosta) Valentin and husband Javier and great grandsons Jason and Jacob,

Stephanie C (DeCosta) Bradley and husband Richard and great grandchildren

Vincent and Alice, and granddaughter Brooke N Reagan and Joshua Allen with

great grand doggies Piper and Ellie. She will be missed and thought of often.

Funeral services will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on

November 10, 2021 at 10:30am.
