DeStefano, Grace, 90, of Plymouth, MA, formerly of Belmont, passed away peacefully at home, with her daughters by her side on Saturday, July 6, 2013.
She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Rosario "Ziggy" and Mary Zagami.
Grace's favorite pass time was "working in the garden" which she kept up until 3 years ago. She could spend the better part of a day caring for her tomato garden, vegetables and all types of flowers. Grace was a great cook, and her enthusiasm led her to open her first restaurant in 1970. Before that, Grace worked in real estate. She loved music and she loved to laugh.
Grace was the loving mother of Janice Harano and Joan Miller, both of Plymouth. She was Gramma to Jennifer, Jon and Daniel Miller. She also leaves behind six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her beloved son, David. She was also predeceased by her husbands, Arthur Covert and Fred DeStefano.
Services will be private.
Funeral arrangements will be made by the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth.
