Howland, Idella "Shortie", 76, of Plymouth, passed away with her family by her side on January 30, 2014. She was born in New London, CT, the daughter of the late Eva and Peter Gauthier. In May 1962, Shortie married her love, Paul C. Howland at the Seaman's Bethel Church in New Bedford. She belonged to the League of Women Voters. She also worked for many years at the Plymouth Plantation. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Shortie is survived by her husband, Paul. She also leaves behind her sons Mark G. Howland and Eben G. Howland as well as her daughter in law, Paula Howland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melly Irene Howland, Felix G. Howland and Jonathan G. Howland.
