Devlin, James H. "Sonny", 80, passed away on October 20, 2013 surrounded by family. He grew up in Hyde Park, the son of the late Lillian (McDermott) and James A. Devlin. He moved to Pembroke 40 years ago. He was a mill right for James River Diamond International Paper Mill in Mattapan. He also worked for Protector Wire in Norwell before retiring. Sonny was the husband of the love of his life of the late Mary Claire (Jenner) for 58 years. He was the loving father of MaryLee Lydon, James Devlin, Dorothy Devlin and Ann Marie Devlin-Carter. He was the proud grandfather to Jon Carter, Jessica, Justina & Jamie Devlin, Kelly Blunt & Devlin Dumas as well as six great grand children. He is also survived by his siblings, Rosemary McNally, Sandra Freeman and Richard Devlin, as well as many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his son in law, Patrick R Lydon, Jr. and his granddaughter, Victoria Devlin. Funeral arrangements will be made by the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 on Thursday. Interment will follow at Pembroke Center Cemetery.
