James A. McLellan, known by his family and friends as Jim, a business entrepreneur and resident of Duxbury, MA, passed away after a brief illness on November 12, 2014 at the home surrounded by his wife of 55 years and his five children. Beloved husband of Jacquelyn F. (Allen). Devoted father of Denise Scanell, Darlene McCarthy and son-in-law Gerry McCarthy, Kim-Marie Saccoccio, Kirstin Boothman and son-in-law Mark Boothman and son Jamie McLellan. Cherished Papa of Corinne (Scanell) Valor, Lauren and Meghan McCarthy, Mikaela and Torin Saccoccio, and Callum Boothman. Lovingly survived by his great grandchildren, Logan, Zoey and Declan Valor. Also he is survived by his brother, Richard McLellan and sister-in-Law Mary McLellan, and his many nieces and nephew. He is predeceased by his son James McLellan II, his parents Anna Mae and Carroll McLellan Sr. and his brother, Carroll McLellan Jr. Jim was born in Chelsea on December 17, 1938. Jim met his wife Jacquelyn in high school and they married shortly after graduating. They were married 55 years and their union beget 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Jim was a devoted husband and father. He cherished spending time with his family and close friends such as Larry, Van and Eddie. He traveled extensively all over the world, frequented his local library, and spent many hours walking with his four legged friends, Brandy, Buffy, Burnley and Raiden. Jim started his career as a design engineer and worked in executive recruiting at TAD Inc. as Vice President. He left to start his own entrepreneurial career and over his lifetime founded 5 different business. After retirement, he built a group travel tour business devoting his time to senior travel. Jim made friends everywhere he went and he will be always remembered as the most fun loving, kind and devoted family man. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
