Regan, James Theodore "Dinny", of Wareham, MA, and Englewood, FL, passed away unexpectedly July 2, 2015. He was born Feb.1,1948 to the late James J. and Edith V.(Sanders) Regan in Boston.
Dinny married the love of his life, Rose, in 1975. He was well known for his love of family and friends. His lust for life took him on adventures all over the world. He was a graduate of Norwood High and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology. Sergeant Regan served in the USMC and the Army National Guard as an avionic tech. at range control on Camp Edwards. He was employed by the USPS and credited with developing an electronic LSM machine for which he received national recognition. He was a member of the Elks and the Moose organizations. Jim was wicked smart, generous to a fault, and the absolute funniest man we will ever know.
Those left to cherish his memory are Rose M. Regan of Mashpee, MA; his son James P. Regan of D.C.; his daughter Lisa Del Rio and husband Eric, grandsons Andrew and Matthew Del Rio, of Leominster, MA; son-in-law Brian Chagnon and granddaughter Audrey of Pittsfield, MA; he is predeceased by his daughter Katherine Chagnon of Pittsfield
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. Calling hours will be on Thursday, July 9th from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth on Friday, July 10th at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
