Janet M. (O'Brien) Dimock of East Taunton passed away at Morton Hospital on August 29, 2010 after a brief illness. A graduate 1968 Cassidy High School, she worked in the Accounting Department at Reed and Barton for a number of years. More recently, Janet worked as a CNA at several nursing homes in the Taunton area before retiring prematurely due to her long struggle with multiple sclerosis. A caring person with an unwavering sense of humor, she will truly be missed by all that knew her. Janet was the beloved wife of Danforth Dimock and the mother of Elizabeth Dimock. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ida (Cote) O'Brien, sister of Eugene O'Brien Jr., Daniel O'Brien, Michael O'Brien, Edward O'Brien, all of Taunton, Virginia Larkin of Portsmouth, R.I., and the late Richard O'Brien. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. All are invited to a funeral Mass in her honor which will be held at Saint Mary's Church in Taunton, Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10:00A.M. No visiting hours are planned, family and friends are invited to a reception following the Mass.
