Janet Emerson, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, formerly of Duxbury, passed away on November 1, 2025 surrounded by love.
Born in Westbury, New York on January 27, 1957, Janet spent the majority of her adult life in Massachusetts, where she built a life centered around family, friendships, and laughter. She was the devoted mother of Kelly and her husband, Jamie Coveney and son Eric Emerson. She was the proud grandmother of Madison, Travis and Molly Coveney along with baby girl Emerson due in May. She was also the cherished life partner of Paul Giammarco.
Janet is survived by her loving siblings, Kenneth and Donna Brown of Newburgh, New York, Kathleen Brown of Holbrook, New York and Kevin and Julie Brown of Cumming, Georgia. She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Dolores Brown whom she adored, and infant son David.
She was a loyal employee of Walmart Corporation, where her great sense of humor, kindness, and support for her coworkers made her a beloved member of her workplace family.
Known for her warm heart and welcoming nature, Janet never met a person who didn't become a friend. She loved traveling and made sure to include her entire family in her adventures, taking joy in creating countless shared memories together. There wasn't a family vacation that she wasn't a part of and the only thing she loved more than traveling was her children and grandchildren.
Janet's compassion, loyalty, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, November 15, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bartlett Funeral Home 338 Court St in Plymouth, where all are welcome to come share memories and say their final goodbyes.
