It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mom, Joan Bennett Devine, of Kingston, Massachusetts, who left us peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 88, after a long illness.

Born on March 20, 1937, Joan lived a full and joyful life centered on family, friendship, and the simple pleasures that made her days so bright. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Devine, and a devoted mother to Cheryl (Johnson) Hunt, Billy Johnson Vandevine, and Kevin Devine. Joan took immense pride in her family and was especially adored by her grandchildren — Zachary, Ethan, Nick, and Eric — and great-grandchildren Kendall and Carter, who brought endless smiles to her face.

A lifelong New Englander, Joan's love for her home teams — the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins — was legendary. Whether she was cheering from her living room or discussing last night's game, her enthusiasm never wavered. She also cherished time spent with friends playing cards and enjoyed many happy trips to Foxwoods, where her laughter and lucky streak were equally well known.

Those who knew Joan will remember her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family. Her spirit, kindness, and zest for life will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joan's life during a visitation on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360.

Joan will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love.
