John Craig Capaccioli III

John Craig Capacciol, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Marstons Mills, MA, after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

John a.k.a. Jack grew up in Braintree, MA. He graduated from Braintree High School, then served three years in the US Navy. Later, he attended UMass Amherst, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

John has had an accomplished career working for the Capenter's Union local 218/328 of Malden on various small and large-scale construction jobs. He also worked and retired from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a civil rights investigator.

John had many interests, especially anything outdoors. He loved gardening, boating, fishing, (making fishing lures and tying flies), hunting, golfing, and going for walks in the wilderness with his much-loved dogs.

John is survived by his loving wife, Cindy (Scherber) Capaccioli of 34 years, his son, John Craig Capaccioli IV, and his wife, Shirley (Mader) Capaccioli of North Carolina, his brother Arthur Capaccioli, and his wife, Gina (Pizziferri) Capaccioli of Braintree, his sister, Gail Capaccioli of Norwell, his brother-in-law, Jack Zahn of Braintree. John was predeceased by his father John Craig Capaccioli II, his mother, Margaret E. (Young) Capaccioli, his sister Lisa (Capaccioli) Zahn of Braintree, and his brother, Frank Capaccioli of Braintree.

John leaves behind many, much-loved nieces and nephews who brought him great joy and smiles throughout the years.

At the request of John. Funeral arrangements are private and have been arranged by Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court St., Plymouth, MA. 02360.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor John.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Parkinson's foundation in his name, or make a donation in his name to the Hospice VNA of Cape Cod, or you may plant a tree or garden in his memory.
