In Loving Memory of John

John was a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and proud United States Marine. He was deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know him, and his absence leaves a space in our family that can never truly be filled.

John carried battles within himself that many could not see. Though his life ended far too soon, we will not remember him for the way he left this world. We will remember the life he lived, the people he loved, the memories he gave us, and the person he was beneath the weight he carried.

As a Marine, John knew courage, strength, loyalty, and sacrifice. But even the strongest among us can carry pain too heavy to bear alone. His struggle does not diminish his strength, his service, or the love that surrounded him.

We wish John could have seen himself through the eyes of those who loved him. We wish he could have known just how deeply his presence mattered and how profoundly his absence would be felt.

May he finally be at peace from the battles he fought so quietly.

John, you were loved in this life, you are loved beyond it, and you will be carried with us always.

Gone far too soon. Loved beyond words. Remembered forever.

John is survived by; his mother Luann Sutherland, and her husband, Rob Sutherland; father John Freeman Sr, his siblings Courtney Freeman, and her husband, Mike Godbout, Abigail Hapenny, Jacob Hapenny, Amanda Hapenny and Randi Hapenny, their, father Gary Hapenny; he leaves behind his nephews; Robert Godbout and Dillon McGuiness, his grandmother, Lucille, aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as his best friends, Alex and Walter Butler, and the entire Butler family.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 25th from 9-11 am. Friends and family are invited to attend.
