IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John
Hobson
January 3, 1943 – January 25, 2025
On January 25, John 'Jack' Lambert Hobson departed from this life and his loved ones after a courageous battle against Alzheimer's Disease.
Jack was born to Louise and John Lambert Hobson on January 3, 1943. He was raised in Swampscott, MA and attended Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire. He went on to attend Nasson College where he earned his Bachelor Degree in the Arts. Pairing his love for the ocean with his professional career, Jack dedicated 20 years to Boston Whaler as a customer service manager. This position fulfilled his passion and provided a world of opportunity for Jack and his family. Some of Jack's fondest memories were traveling with the company to Alaska, Europe, and South America.
Jack and his other half, Bonnie, spent 62 years together after being married on Clark's Island. They planted their roots in Plymouth, MA and spent each summer on Clark's Island. Jack is survived by his wife Bonnie, of Plymouth, sister, Mary Louise Wollershied, of Swampscott MA, and Steven Hobson of Maine. Jack leaves behind his sons David (Nanci) and Zack, both of Plymouth. He will be remembered as a loving grandfather to Alison, Sarah, Madeline, Rachel, and Jack.
Jack was best known for his strong work ethic and inability to sit still. His family always knew to find him working on a project around the house. Additionally, Jack enjoyed skiing and sailing, two hobbies he carried with him throughout his life and shared with his loved ones. Throughout his life, Jack was a proud parent to many furry friends. Jack's unconditional and unwavering love for his wife and sons will continue to be felt for years to come.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Jack.
