John "Jack' F. Rooney of Marshfield died suddenly July 30th. He was the son of the late Virginia (Coughlin) Connorton and Thomas Rooney of Weymouth and loving husband of the late Mary Tetrault of Marshfield. Jack graduated from Weymouth High School. He enjoyed spending time with family, painting, writing and listening to music. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Melissa Rooney, in 2004. He is survived by his step father Francis Connorton of Weymouth; his brother Thomas Rooney of Canton and his sister MaryAnn England of Weymouth. He was the loving father of Keith Rooney and his wife Kelly of Plymouth, Kory Rooney and his wife Meghan of Rockland and step children Robert Tetrault, Debbie Murphy, William Tetrault and Mary Ann Tetrault of Marshfield; Nancy Tetrault and Pamela McArthur of Hanson; Lisa Bratti of Plymouth; Denise Driscoll of Kingston and their spouses, as well as 26 cherished grand children, 4 great grand children and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4-7pm Friday, August 10th at the Bartlett-Santos Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, Ma. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11th at Brant Rock Chapel, 327 Ocean Street, Marshfield at 1:00 PM.
