John P. Stanford, Jr, ("Jack") age 77, of Duxbury, passed away on Saturday, August 20th, 2022.

Jack was the devoted husband for nearly 50 years to the late Diane C. Stanford. Loving father

of Denise Ryan and her husband, Michael, and Heather Cline and her husband, Robert. He was

the adored grandfather of Erin and Molly Ryan, and of the late William Cline. Jack is also survived

by four of his siblings, Terese, Robert and his wife, Miriam, Lawrence, and Dennis, as well as his

nephew, Ryan Stanford, and sister-in-law, Pam. He is pre-deceased by his beloved brother,

Kevin.

Raised in Massapequa, NY, Jack was the eldest of six children to the late John P, Sr. and Helen

(Muldowney) Stanford of Stony Brook, NY. He graduated from St. John's University and went on

to have a career as a well-respected manager, most recently at Blue Cross Blue Shield from

which he retired. There was nothing Jack adored more than his grandchildren and seeing them

active. He was an avid photographer and loved taking photos of lighthouses, sunsets, and the

elusive comet. In the remainder of his free time, you could find him landscaping his beautiful

yard which included a koi pond that he built himself. Jack was known for his quick wit and wide-

ranging knowledge, as well as love for the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He was one of the kindest

people you could know and he will be missed immensely.
