John Joseph Venier, 59, of Plymouth, formerly of Braintree died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. John was the loving husband of Lisa (Fiorini) Venier. He was the devoted father of Arthur B. Venier of Braintree and Maryann Venier of Plymouth, He was the son of the late Bruno and Madeline (Petrell) Venier.
He was born in Vero Beach, Florida on February 15, 1951. He was a resident engineer and worked for 25 years at Camp Dresser and McKee of Cambridge.
John enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and gardening and was a member of the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club.
Funeral arrangements will be by the Bartlett-Garrity Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, April 6 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the funeral home. A mass of Christian burial will be at St. Mary's Church, Plymouth, on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Plymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the American Heart Association.
