John C Veracka III, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2019. He was the beloved son of Linda Hassett Veracka and the late John C. Veracka Jr. of Kingston MA. He was also the beloved brother of Leta Areski and her husband Ihsane Areski, and the late David Veracka, of Kingston. He also was the caring uncle of Ayah Areski and Sami Areski of Kingston. Johnny was the nephew of Cecily and Tim Hassett-Salley of Plymouth and Robert and Susan Veracka of Kingston. He leaves his cousins Christopher Veracka of Kingston MA, Michael Veracka of Westport MA, Janet Veracka of Plymouth MA, Pamela Dysart of Indiana, Matt Roberts of Cambridge MA, Daniel Hassett-Salley of Brighton MA, and Juliana Hassett-Salley of Salem, MA. Johnny also leaves behind many close friends from the area. Johnny was skilled in carpentry and wood-work, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand with his skills and talents. He loved his boat and boating and taking rides from the Ahh-dee-nah on the Jones River, to Plymouth Harbor, to Saquish and beyond. He attended Silver Lake Regional High School. His heart of gold will be sorely missed by his friends and family. There will be a Friendship Gathering at the Hilltop Club (inside upstairs), Pottle Street, Kingston, MA, on September 15th, 2019 from 11:00 am-4:00 pm. A private family burial and service will take place at a future date.
