Joseph M. Rego, 66, of Plymouth, MA, passed away unexpectedly at his home. Born on February 7th, 1959, in São Miguel, Azores, Joseph was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Maria Rego.

A longtime resident of Plymouth, Joseph graduated from Plymouth-Carver High School and was known throughout the community as a generous, kindhearted man — a true jack of all trades who never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Joseph was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved watching sunsets, planting sunflowers, playing his guitar, and listening to his favorite music — especially the rock band KISS. He cherished every moment spent with his family and had a special bond with his cat, Lucky, who he affectionately called his best friend.

Joseph is survived by his sons Shaun Rego of Assonet, and Derrick Rego and his wife Michelle of Warwick, Rhode Island; his sister Maria Medeiros and her husband Joseph of Plymouth; his brother John Rego and his wife Patty of Plymouth; and his treasured grandchildren Aiden, Skyler, and Gunner. He will be remembered for his warmth, his love for his family, and the gentle, generous spirit he shared with everyone around him.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 18th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will take place on Friday, September 19th, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Parish, 272 Main Street, Kingston.

Joseph will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
