Julio Bala Sena Jr. , born in Boston on April 22, 1967, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025 in Weymouth, Massachusetts surrounded by the love of his family.
Julio grew up in Dorchester and later raised his family in Plymouth. He was the devoted father of Julio Saul Sena III and Angelina Maria Sena. His unwavering love and guidance will forever be reflected in the lives of his cherished grandchildren: Jayden Julio Sena, Aleigha Rose Sena, Mason Leo Sena, and Bentley Lawrence Sena. Julio took immense pride in his children and grandchildren, often sharing stories about their accomplishments with joy and enthusiasm. He eagerly anticipated family gatherings, where his warmth and humor brought everyone together.
Julio had a passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for those he loved. Known for his impeccable sense of style, he took pride in presenting himself with elegance and grace. His kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his mother Maria Bala Sena; father Julio Dias Sena; brother Belmiro Bala Sena; and nephew James Cuzzo. He is survived by his beloved children Julio Saul Sena III and Angelina Maria Sena; grandchildren Jayden Julio Sena, Aleigha Rose Sena, Mason Leo Sena, and Bentley Lawrence Sena; as well as his siblings Gisela Sena Campisi, Viriato Bala Sena, Sebastian Bala Sena, Maria Sena-DaSilva, Leocadia Sena-Monteiro, Benvinda Bala Sena, Kevin Bala Sena, Estella Bala Sena, and Maria Madalena Bala Sena. Julio also leaves behind many loving friends and extended family members who will miss him tremendously.
Julio will be fondly remembered for the love he shared with those around him and the legacy he leaves behind through his family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him as they honor his life with gratitude for the moments they shared together.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 29th, from 4-6 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St Peter's Church, 86 Court Street, Plymouth, on Thursday, January 30th at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery.
