Kathleen Margaret Schneider (née Ryan) affectionately known as Kay, passed away on June 18, 2024 at the age of 92 in Hingham, MA. Born on June 29, 1932 in Dorchester, MA, Kay lived a vibrant and fulfilling life marked by her passion and dedication to her family, her deep faith, and traveling.

Kay graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston and joined the workforce where she created lasting friendships. She was a devoted parishioner at Immaculate Conception, Sacred Heart, and St. Matthew's, finding great solace and community through her faith.

Travel was one of Kay's greatest joys, always headed to Sanibel Island during winter or cruising to Alaska. She also cherished her time spent in Cape Cod, New Hampshire, and for six weeks a cross country road trip. Kay's love for desserts was well-known among her family and friends, a sweet testament to her zest for life.

Family was the cornerstone of Kay's world. She is survived by her siblings, Lorraine and Michael Ryan; children, Kristine Mullarkey and Stephen Schneider; grandchildren, Alvin, Jacquelyn, Mitchel, Katherine, Michaela; and great granddaughter Esme. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alvin Schneider, sister Helen Cedergren, daughter Kathleen Schneider, and son John Schneider.

A funeral mass will be held for Kay at Immaculate Conception in Weymouth on Friday, June 28th at 10:30am where family and friends can share memories and celebrate her life. Kay's legacy of love, adventure, and faith will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
