Keith Stephen Barnes,66, passed away December 3,2025 after a long illness. He was born in Gloucester, MA, the son of the late Thomas Barnes and Jean Lennox Barnes. He was the brother of the late Deborah Barnes and Dean Barnes. He grew up in Fairhaven and later resided in Plymouth and New Bedford.

Keith is survived by his companion, Sandy, his nephews Shane Barnes and Bobby Dean Weigner., and a niece Dakota Mammoli.

Keith was a commercial fisherman for many years, and after retiring from fishing, he worked as a commercial painter. He loved music, especially the blues, he loved playing his flute and he loved spending time with friends and family. He overcame many obstacles and was a good example to others and mentor to many.

He will be cremated and his ashes spread at sea, as he wished.
