Obituary

Norman, Larry, 61, of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2021 at Beth Israel Plymouth. He was born in Abbeville, SC, the son of the late Dorsey Mae (Harrison) Norman and Eugene Hill.

Larry was raised in South Carolina by his grandparents, Cliff and Addy Lee Norman. He had a close relationship with his aunts and uncles, Mae Lee, Ree, Archie, Joe, Albert, Jeanette and Shirley, who were more like siblings to him. He came spend every summer in Boston with his mom. He always said he was the man he was today because of his grandmother, she was his whole world.

Larry worked for the railroad company for many years. After retiring from there, he left and went to work for Riverside Asphalt Paving. He loved yard sales, Savers, flea markets, he loved his summer house in SC.

Larry met his wife, Ollie Mae in 1977 and got married in 1983. They started their family, eventually having 5 children.

In addition to his wife, Ollie Mae, Larry leaves behind his children; Charles, Bernice, Trinity, Tradessa, Javan, Shalela, Justin T, Yanta, Theo, Larry, Rose, Quadra, D'andre and Jaqua. He also leaves behind his siblings; Doris, Pauline, Grace, Melvin, Alvin, Sirono, Lovejoy, Vivian, Eugene, Delois, Vince, and Freddie. He leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his son, William and his brother John Lee.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 3rd from 5-8 pm. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 384 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. Interment will be private.
