Lesley E. Sears (Maltman) of Halifax, MA, passed away peacefully, with her husband at her side, on September 2,2026 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA, following a recent accident and complications related to dementia. She was 71 years old.

Lesley was born December 15, 1954, in Norwood, MA to the late John and Christina Maltman. She was known for her hardworking spirit, warm heart, and deep love for animals. Nothing brought her greater joy than spoiling her beloved cat, and filling the bird feeders for the birds that visited her yard each day. In her later years, Lesley faced the challenges of dementia with grace and the loving support of her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Bill; daughter Julie Mele and her husband Joe; son Billy Sears; sister, Lindsay Dorfman; brothers Eric Maltman, Ross Maltman, and Neil Maltman; grandson Jack Davis as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
