Obituary

Plymouth—Lillian Josephine Frisbee, a resident of Pembroke for over forty years, departed this earth in Plymouth on February fourth at the age of ninety! Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Walter Frederick and Lillian Josephine Bennett. She was predeceased by her sisters Ernestine Cartier, and Elizabeth Kenney and brothers, James and Walter Bennett. As a young woman Lillian worked as a waitress at the Parker House in Boston and at the Walter Baker Chocolate Factory making candy, a volunteer counselor at the Dorchester House and she worked for ten years at Lorraine's in Hanover. She loved her little dog Tai—her loving and loyal companion, music, birds, playing her organ and was always up for a game of checkers with her grandchildren. Although she'd lost her vision, she continued to play cards, and Scrabble with her dear friend, Diane. She was married to Walter C. Frisbee in 1943, and was married for 67 years. She was the loving mother of George C. Frisbee and his wife Judith of Lowell, Vt., James A. Frisbee and his wife Lorraine of Duxbury, Lillian A. Stevens and her husband James P. of Plymouth, Anne Marie Cunningham of Kingston, and the late Walter F. Frisbee and his wife Gail of Pembroke. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren; Laurie Bourke, Pamela Kuketz, James Frisbee Jr., William Frisbee, Jason Frisbee, Gregory Frisbee, Melinda Cunningham, Luke Frisbee, Sarah Mann, Alyssa Cunningham, Lillian Machos, and James Stevens. She also leaves behind twenty-one great-grandchildren; Joshua, Jessica, Eric, Lauren, Britney, Michael Walter, Nicholas, George, James Edward, Max, Luke, Garrett, Geoffrey, Michael Timothy, Stefanie, Grady, James Timothy, Callahan, Adilyn, Sarah and the newest little one, Piper. as well as her loving caretaker and many nieces, nephews and friends, whom she loved passionately. Her love, knowledge, understanding and sweet smile will be missed by all. Visitation at the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA is on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and service at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Pembroke, Massachusetts.
